Product Description This fiberglass tape is made of plain weave fiberglass fabrics, designed to be used with resin as part of a finished composite part. Its convenient, easy-to-handle format makes it ideal for selectively reinforcing fiberglass laminates for seams, edges of molds, and applications like pipe winding. These tapes do not have adhesive backing and will require epoxy, polyester, or vinyl ester resin. They feature the same plain weave construction for uniform strength in both horizontal and vertical directions, ensuring top quality in our fiberglass tape products. Each full roll is 50 yards long and 2 inches wide, offering excellent abrasion resistance and thermal insulation properties, as well as waterproofing and excellent tensile strength. Fiberglass tapes are narrow strips of woven fabric made from E-glass fibers with a strong selvage edge to prevent fraying and unraveling. The narrow widths eliminate the need to cut wider fiberglass fabrics and increase accuracy and productivity. The finished edges provide easier handling, a clean appearance, and prevent unravelling. These tapes also have low smoke emission, excellent abrasion resistance, and thermal insulation properties, and can be heat treated to minimize fraying during fabrication. These tapes, despite being referred to as tapes, are actually just fabrics and do not have adhesive backing. Compatible with epoxy resin and polyester resin, this fiberglass tape is perfect for reinforcing seams, corners, canoes, boats, plywood, and general repairs. It is also great for selective reinforcement of laminates and sleeve, pipe, or tank winding. Use it to join seams in separate parts and molding. The tightly woven tapes offer uniformity and are highly drapable.
