Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat for Composites - 1.5 Oz. (26 X 50)

This continuous 1 square yard of 1.5 oz weight Chopped Strand Mat is 50" wide and of the finest quality. It is folded and packaged as shown in the pictures. It can be used in various hand lay-up applications with epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resins. This product is commonly used in the transportation, recreation, marine, and construction industries.

It is important to note that the weight of chopped strand mat is measured by the square foot, not square yard like fabric. Therefore, this product is 1.5 oz per square foot. It can be used as a "print through" barrier between gel coat and woven roving, as a bond layer between layers of woven roving, and to build thickness at about 1/22" or .045" per layer.

The chopped strand mat provides uniform strength and stiffness in all directions and conforms to mold details better than woven roving. It is a versatile material that can enhance the quality of various fiberglass applications.
